Not only have the sales figures gone through the roof since we were commissioned to re-design the entire Loddon’s beer range, but this week it also got the thumbs up from the one and only Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on ITV’s this morning. Our striking dragonfly branding got a special mention to boot. A unique chance with Unilever…

It’s not everyday in an agency’s life that you get a call from Unilever. But in December, that call came and we were thrilled to be asked to do our first piece of creative under the Surf Brand. We managed to plan, design and write a 110 page global marketing piece, which we pulled out all the stops for and completed within a tight deadline. A major credentials presentation to the team at Unilever in late February has resulted in more work for us. Look out for future developments.

With so many new Russian clients contacting us, we are delighted to announce the opening of our new Moscow office in May 2012. Over the last few years, we have really got to know the Russian marketplace with our work on Natura Siberica and Slavyanka confectionery. It’s a fascinating place with a culture that looks towards the modern but still has tradition close to it’s heart. We pride ourselves on our successes in Russia and opening an office was a natural progression for us. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you on a journey that will be both inspiring and educational. Check back soon for our latest news.

We are proud to announce that Pure is now working with the lovely people (and animals!) at Pets at Home. A couple of projects later, we are loving every minute of it. Venturing into this sector has undoubtedly strengthened our knowledge of the pet care market and has allowed us to explore the creativity only own brand design offers. We have created some lovely quirky designs, so watch this space as we’ll be posting some little treats on the website soon.

Chris Martin collaborates with We Are Pure…

Posted: March 2nd, 2012 | Author: Ed | Filed under: News | No Comments »

Yes you’ve read it right, Chris Martin has joined us at Pure! Okay, okay, it’s not that Chris Martin, but he’s our very own creative star. Chris ‘parachuted’ in from CBA Graell in
Barcelona, Spain where he was lead packaging designer. It was a ‘rush of blood to the head’ when he showed us his portfolio. He has also worked at some of the top design agencies in London. ‘The hardest part’ was understanding what he was saying at first, but we quickly learnt that his favourite colour is ‘yellow’ and he’s now in ‘paradise’ at Pure.

Chris is Pure’s new creative artworker. He joins us from Jupiter where he worked on big brands such as Wilko, Argos, Wickes and Boots…and they’re just a few off his CV! He has a lot of experience in the technical field of artwork but he also designs which is a bonus for us! He has fitted in really well and is already implementing lots of good ideas to make us better at what we do! Plus, he is a little terrier at table foosball!

Summer fun for Wilko

Posted: March 1st, 2012 | Author: Ed | Filed under: News | No Comments »

We were appointed by Wilko to re-design their suncare range for both adults and kids. We first asked ourselves what springs to mind when you think of a classic British summer? Beach huts of course and children playing on the beach. So these became our inspiration for some quirky and emotive illustrations which form the heart of this summer essential. We’ve also rolled out the design onto aftersun and insect repellents. So when you pack your suitcase, don’t forget a bottle!

To Russia with love…

Slavyanka – one of Russia’s biggest confectionery manufacturers appointed us to revamp their children’s confectionery range. The brief was to make it more exciting, appealing to children and to compete with the influx of western confectionery brands currently launching into the Russian market. With our passion for chocolate and 10 years of experience designing for clients such as Cadbury World, Fox’s, Beeches and even launching our own Children’s brand ‘My World’ into the British retail market, we felt we could clearly answer their brief. First we had to create a new brand for the range, something strong and iconic. Next we created a set of unique, friendly characters, giving each product its own identity. Slavyanka loved these little fellas so much they are now to make them stars in their own rights by launching a television commercial with the characters in. Watch this space and see the range grow as we have been commissioned to extend the range.

We’ve livened up Loddons!

Loddon Brewery in Oxfordshire recently commissioned Pure to give their brewery a fresh new look…and we didn’t disappoint. It was a fantastic project to work on with the client allowing us free reign. We retained the heritage of this bespoke Micro Brewery, but brought the style bang up to date to compete with the big boys in the market place. The dragonfly was a strong part of the Loddon’s heritage so we retained yet modernised this to be the focal point of the label, also giving the pack movement with a smaller dragon fly flying up and around the neck of the bottle. What was pleasing about this project was that we were able to roll out the new look not only to the bottle labels but also on pump clips, glasses, beer mats and stationery, giving a fresh cohesive look across the brand. Anyone fancy a pint? It’s our round.
